Julia has 19 years of experience working in Local Government at Huntingdonshire District Council, and since 2011 has been responsible for managing the energy saving programme at the council, installing new equipment through both SALIX and Re:Fit at the main sites. Julia is responsible for managing all the project stages, providing business cases, managing the installation and carrying out the measuring and verification whilst also looking after the Council’s domestic energy efficiency and fuel poverty strategies and implementation, energy procurement and electric vehicle charging points.
Prior to working in local government Julia worked in the pharmaceutical industry, latterly in veterinary pharmaceutical registration. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Applied and Human Biology, from Aston University, Birmingham, and is a member of the Royal Society of Biology and a Chartered Biologist. Since moving from biology to energy she has completed a large number of qualifications including NHER domestic assessor, City and Guilds Level 3 in both Energy Advice and Renewables, Monitoring and Verification training, and a number of EMA courses.
