Decarbonisation & Sustainability Manager - The University of Birmingham

Jim is an experienced energy & sustainability professional with a proven track record of delivering utilities cost savings, legislative compliance, and project management services for organisations in the public and private sectors. His current role focuses on driving forward energy reduction and decarbonisation activities in support of the University of Birmingham's institutional net zero carbon target.  Previous roles in hospitality and engineering consultancy have involved working with design teams to incorporate sustainability principles into new builds, conducting energy audits to identify low-cost fixes, potential projects, and training needs for building users, and delivering regulatory compliance including SECR and ESOS.

Jim is a registered ESOS lead assessor and has previously been a BREEAM and Code for Sustainable Homes assessor.
