Sustainability Manager at Bournemouth University (BU)
Lois is the Sustainability Manager for Bournemouth University (BU) where she leads their approach to addressing the climate and ecological crisis. Lois leads the sustainability team which includes energy management, travel and transport and sustainability. Lois is working on a range of projects including heat decarbonisation and currently moving a building from gas to air source heat pumps to achieve carbon savings. She founded the annual Eco Entrepreneurs fund to help promote innovation by students and graduates.
Lois and her team were awarded the Energy Management Team of the Year – Public Sector in 2023 by the EMA and Lois contributed to the EMA women’s only edition. Passionate about career development Lois works with university students and local schools to help inspire the next generation of energy and sustainability managers.
