Energy and Carbon Management in Practice Training Programme– LEC 3
An Energy Manager (EM) performs an essential role in ensuring a company or organisation meets its energy, carbon and water reduction responsibilities within the context of wider sustainability imperatives, Net Zero aspirations, decarbonisation efforts and the requirement for continual improvement and assessment of risk. Energy Managers need to be technically aware, numerate, have good communication skills with a range of stakeholders, including senior management and energy end-users – and be keen to broaden and continually improve existing knowledge and expertise.
The EMA has developed training courses that equip individuals with the minimum knowledge needed to operate effectively as an Energy Management professional with a responsibility for managing energy and carbon in
the workplace. Individuals who complete a range of training courses can aim to achieve a professional status of an EMA Recognised Energy Manager.
Whether you are new to energy management or up-skilling, take the first steps to becoming a fully skilled energy manager with reviewing the EMA training offering or undertaking the EMA Knowledge and Skills’ Gap Analysis Interview.
