Energy Champion Course - Energy and Carbon Reduction Awareness – LEC 2
The Energy Champion training course helps participants to champion energy reduction and address Climate Change within their organisations. Participants will gain insights on managing and minimising their direct energy consumption by optimising equipment and processes they use, while also inspiring and guiding others to follow suit.
Upon completion of the Energy Champion course, participants will:
- Gain a greater understanding of energy consumption and reasons for managing energy and reducing carbon emissions in the workplace
- Be encouraged to undertake careful monitoring of their energy consumption
- Be able to consider options for reducing energy and carbon emissions
- Understand how to apply simple changes to reduce their energy consumption and encourage others to take the same approach.
By completing the course participants will also gain useful and transferable skills that can be applied in the workplace as well as in the domestic environment.

Course Duration: 9:30-12:30
Format: Live virtual tutor-led course followed by a multiple-choice question-and-answer assessment
Certification: Participants who complete and pass the assessment will receive a certificate including 3 hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) recognition. In addition, all participants will be eligible for the entry-level EMA membership at an Affiliate level (with the waived administrative fee for the initial 12 months).
