Aimen Taki

Energy Manager at Great Portland Estates Plc

Aimen is an Electrical and Electronic Engineer with a specific interest in renewables. He’s spent the past 6 years working across the private and public sector, helping create and navigate long term strategies for achieving Net-Zero Carbon targets. Prior to his current role at GPE, Aimen was the Energy and Carbon Manager for the Southern Region at Network Rail where he led the De-Carbonisation Programme including workstreams on Fleet De-Carbonisation, Asset Performance Optimisation and Installation of On-Site Generation Systems.

In 2019, Aimen was awarded “Highly Commended” in the “EMA Junior Energy Management Professional” category for his work on De-Carbonisation Pathways for Network Rail. Aimen is currently leading the transformation of the De-Carbonisation Strategy and Pathway for GPE as well as digitalising GPE’s energy consumption data and reporting to improve quality and oversight.
